Up and running in three steps

1

Install

One file, no admin rights.

2

Sign in to Microsoft

Your usual work sign-in; OneMount finds sites and libraries on its own.

3

Work

Drives are already in File Explorer; the trial starts automatically.

No Entra ID registration or admin consent — OneMount works in any Microsoft 365 organization.

Who it's for

One solution — for IT and for every employee

Admins deploy the app and drive configuration centrally. Users simply get OneMount from the Microsoft Store, sign in and work.

For IT admins

For those tired of OneDrive sync issues who want to deploy storage the same way, automatically, on every new PC.

  • Group Policy and ADMX templates
  • Deployment via Intune
  • License portal and device management
  • Default drive configuration for the whole company

For users

For those who don't want to dig through SharePoint sites or fight OneDrive sync. All files live in a familiar network drive with its own letter.

  • Install from the Microsoft Store without admin rights
  • No tenant admin approval
  • Sign in with your work account — and the drive is connected
  • Your own and guest storage side by side
Storage discovery

Everything you can access — in one list

No addresses to copy. OneMount finds everything your Microsoft 365 account can access: SharePoint sites, Teams channel files, your OneDrive and folders shared with you.

Pick a library or folder — and a moment later it's a drive in File Explorer.

What most drives can't do

Real-time co-authoring — straight from the drive

A Word or Excel file opened from a OneMount drive is a live document in SharePoint, not a local copy, so everything your team relies on in Microsoft 365 keeps working:

  • Real-time co-authoring Several people edit one file at once — you see who is in which cell, and changes appear instantly.
  • AutoSave and version history Changes save to SharePoint automatically, and any previous version can be restored.
  • No locks or duplicates Many drive apps lock a file to one person or leave duplicates with the computer name. OneMount doesn't.

Supports Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from OneMount drives. Requires a Microsoft 365 sign-in in your default browser.

Requested by teams

SharePoint actions in the right-click menu

Right-click any file or folder on the drive — no need to open SharePoint in the browser:

  • Copy the link you needA SharePoint web link that opens in any browser, or the drive path — for colleagues who use OneMount.
  • Share and manage accessNative SharePoint sharing and permissions dialogs — for exactly this file or folder.
  • Search in SharePointSearch file names and contents across the whole library, starting from the folder you need.
  • Version history, recycle bin, OutlookRestore a previous version, bring back a deleted file or send it with Outlook.
Like a local drive

SharePoint as a regular drive

ERP, AutoCAD, Photoshop and other apps work with SharePoint as with a local drive — each drive is served by its own SMB share.

Files of any size

Video, CAD models and archives — without the 50 MB limit or the 4 GB ceiling.

Long paths under control

The path counts from the drive letter, so deep folders stay visible. OneMount warns you about paths that are too long.

Any folder as a drive

Give a SharePoint folder, such as “Projects”, its own drive letter: shorter paths and a tidier view.

Nothing gets lost

If a save didn't reach the cloud, OneMount retries, and sets anything not uploaded aside in a safe place — never deleting it.

Full speed, no limits of its own

Copying to and from the drive is as fast as through the browser.

  • As fast as the browser
  • Faster than a WebDAV drive
  • Real copy progress in File Explorer

Virtual desktops

Built for VDI and Cloud PCs

A new PC or a freshly reset virtual machine — and within a minute all drives are in File Explorer. OneMount syncs nothing up front, so it doesn't eat memory, CPU or disk even on weak machines.

  • Ready in a minute. 10 drives from three tenants connect right after sign-in — no initial sync.
  • Centralized deployment. Silent install, organization key and drive settings — the same on every machine.
  • Settings follow the user. The drive list is stored in the cloud and comes back on any desktop.

Backup

Backup for OneDrive and SharePoint — on a schedule

OneDrive syncs every change — accidental or malicious. OneMount adds dated snapshots of any folder: from the PC to SharePoint or OneDrive, from SharePoint libraries to a disk or NAS. Restoring a whole folder takes one step.

  • Snapshots, not syncEvery backup is a dated archive that nothing writes to again. A file corrupted today doesn’t touch yesterday’s snapshot, and old copies are cleaned up automatically.
  • Restore a whole folder at oncePick a backup by date — the whole folder comes back into a separate dated folder. Existing files aren’t overwritten, so you can compare calmly and take what you need.
  • An IT portal for the whole companyA default backup configuration reaches new PCs automatically, and the backup status of every computer is on one page. For centralized deployment there are ADMX templates for Group Policy and Intune.
  • The 3-2-1 rule in your own Microsoft 365Shared libraries and Teams files — to a local disk or NAS, outside the tenant. No third-party cloud and no extra servers.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Briefly about installation, security, daily work with files and payment.

OneMount is a Windows app that connects SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business libraries as drive letters in File Explorer. People and apps open cloud files via regular Windows paths — nothing syncs up front, and Word and Excel keep co-authoring and version history.

No. OneMount needs no app registration in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and no admin consent — you sign in with your regular Microsoft 365 account. Windows admin rights aren't needed to install either — the app installs per user from the Microsoft Store.

Windows 10 or 11 and a Microsoft 365 work account (SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business). WebView2, which OneMount uses for sign-in, is already built into Windows. Files over 4 GB require Windows 11 24H2 or later.

OneDrive sync keeps a placeholder for every item and has to sync first. OneMount syncs nothing: drives are ready instantly, files download only when opened, and apps get a real drive letter. Many teams use both.

Not yet. OneMount is an app for Windows 10 and 11.

No. Files go directly between your computer and Microsoft 365. The license server receives only your email address and device name.

No. Drives show exactly the sites and files the person already has access to in Microsoft 365; permissions are still managed in SharePoint.

Yes. If a partner organization invited you as a guest, its SharePoint libraries connect just like your own — with your regular work account, no extra setup.

Yes. A Word, Excel or PowerPoint file opened from a OneMount drive is a live SharePoint document, not a local copy: colleagues can edit it at the same time, AutoSave works, and every change goes into SharePoint version history.

Only temporarily. A file downloads when you open it and sits in a small local cache while you work; the cache is cleared when OneMount restarts. Nothing syncs up front, so even a terabyte library takes almost no space.

OneMount downloads only the file you open, not the whole library, so regular Office documents open in seconds. Recently opened files open even faster from the local cache, and copying to the drive is as fast as uploading through the browser.

The drive needs a connection to Microsoft 365 — files live in the cloud. To work offline, keep the folders you need in regular OneDrive sync: OneMount works alongside it, not replacing it.

Yes — it's built for Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix and similar environments: nothing syncs into the user profile, and each person's drive list comes back from the cloud after sign-in. Files over 4 GB require Windows 11 24H2 or Windows Server 2025.

The app warns you in advance, keeps working for 3 more days in a grace mode, and drives never disappear in the middle of work.

Payments are processed by Paddle: a bank card or a company invoice — from any country, with proper tax documents.
